Looking at these images, it is hard to believe that the original kitchen was tired, sad, and worn out. A classy renovation has brought new life to the room and created a dream space that is more than just a kitchen. It is a VIBE where family and friends can bond, spend time, chat, make plans, and above all – cook and eat delicious meals.
The client’s focus was space and surfaces and our renovators hit the mark with a huge center island that defines the room. The countertop is a stunning quartz in an off-white palette, shot through with splashes of grey. Quartz is durable, scratch-resistant, and non-absorbent. A quick wipe with a damp cloth ensures that no harmful bacteria breed on the surface. Surrounding the island are matching surfaces that hold classy appliances, a coffee station, and decorative plants enjoying the sun shining in through the large slide-windows.
Water points were key for the homeowner, and she has a sink on the island, another on the counter, and a very handy swing-arm pot filler mounted on the wall above the oven. This innovative device allows access to water to fill pots on the stovetop without having to carry them across the floor, saving time and slippery splashes on the tiles.
The combination of rustic earthy colors of beige and brown are uplifted into a modern space, allowing for a nostalgic display of vintage tea cups without becoming old-fashioned. The kitchen island offers seating for four, and a cozy built-in bench against the wall is ideal for relaxing with loads of plush cushions, a cup of coffee, and a book.
To explore their love of entertaining, the client chose the power of a gas cooktop combined with the precision of an electric double oven. This model lets you prepare different foods at different temperatures at the same time. If you have never considered making a roast and baking a cake simultaneously in one oven, this model does it for you.
The family indulges in the luxury of abundant storage space. They are surrounded by the warm, inviting ambiance of the deep earthy-toned wall-mounted flat-panel cabinets, floor-mounted cabinets, and drawers, with matching storage space underneath the island. The harmonious colors blend perfectly with the floor and wall tiles, offering a storage solution that combines both functionality and style.
To finish the VIBE, lighting can be switched between bright ceiling-mounted spotlights, to a mellow warm radiance from the low-hanging glass pendants.
