By merging the living room and kitchen into a harmonious design, our renovators have created a warm and inviting living area for the client to unwind and feel at ease. These images dispel any thoughts that a kitchen should be hidden-from-view.
This design is all about making the most of a small space, utilizing every nook and cranny to create a functional and comfortable environment. With a keen eye for detail and a thoughtful approach, the end result evokes a sense of coziness and intimacy, never giving the feeling of being cramped or constricted.
The free-standing bench forms a subtle barrier between lounging and eating. It can also be used as a workspace and offers loads of hidden storage in the form of cabinets and drawers. The client chose a stunning quartz countertop in creamy-white, accented with delicate gray veins giving a marbled effect. This high-gloss luxurious finish is easy to clean, hygienic, and resistant to bacteria.
Light abounds in the form of large sliding windows behind the sink, giving a tantalizing view of the lush green garden outside. A skylight above the bench allows natural light to flow in, imbuing the space with a charm and radiance that is sure to lift those Monday morning blues. For after dark, we have ceiling-mounted spotlights and a hanging pendant lamp.
Strategically placed amid the flat-paneled white cabinets are state-of-the-art shiny chrome appliances. The client chose a French Door Frigidaire model with an ice maker and water dispenser. This innovative refrigerator features customizable storage space, a crisper with automatically controlled humidity, and a unique middle drawer that can be set to have its own temperature.
Staying with functionality, the gas stovetop combines with an electric oven, giving the best of both energy options. Above the stove is a pot filler that can be extended to dispense water directly into pots on the stove. No need to carry heavy dripping pots across the kitchen from the sink to the stove any longer. A microwave for those quick meals is easily accessible on a built-in shelf.
Earthy brown-gray floor boards flow seamlessly from the kitchen into the living and dining areas for a cohesive finish. Color tones are muted, classy, and subtle, defining the personality and style of the homeowners. Every facet of this elegant renovation was meticulously crafted to create an oasis of practicality, convenience, and comfort.
