This classy, contemporary kitchen remodel transformed a worn-out, tired space into a lavish, light and stunning focal point of the home. And, as per the client’s wishes, luxurious lights and artful floral accents are an integral part of the theme.
The design is all about light and airiness. From the large unobstructed windows to the subtle down-lighting under the peninsula, the round ceiling spots, and the hanging orbs, light abounds in this space. Don’t forget the sparkly pendant light that is a show-stopper. It dominates the room with a classic design of exploding brass rays tipped with quartz crystals. The brass tones are accentuated by the warm-brass finishes on the cabinet and drawer handles.
Choosing a peninsula over a kitchen island offers the advantage of not having to move around it to reach appliances, stoves and sinks. A peninsula is attached to one wall, essentially creating an L-shape that is both stylish, modern, and space-saving. It can be used as a worktop, an eating surface, and makes a great place for the family to bond and chat while the Sunday roast is crisping up in the oven.
Bright white is the color of choice for the countertops, and fittings. The lines are sleek and elegant, creating an illusion of space and length. Wall tiles embrace beautiful curves with a scallop design that emits a warm-white hue. To break the whiteness, the floor covering is a wood laminate in tones of earthy brown.
The fridge offers a water and ice dispenser and a glass view window that allows a look inside at the most commonly used items, without having to open the door. The client chose the convenience of a gas stovetop and an electric oven, giving the choice of both options. A wall-mounted pot filler gives access to water at the stove, without having to carry dripping pots across the kitchen.
A gallery-style vibe was the focus and our renovators made it happen with a stunning modern floral print in tones of dusty pink and gray-white that dominate the wall. Echoing the blush tones are abstract floor mats and lovely sentimental photos that the client has placed strategically around the room. Flat-panel cabinets offer ample closed storage space, as well as open glass windows for displaying treasured family heirlooms.
