Their primary aim was to add an outdoor section where the family and guests could bond, chat, relax, enjoy a meal, and admire the stunning view.
This deck was constructed as an extension on the side of the house, taking full advantage of the unused space, creating a sunny area with unobstructed views over the mountains.
The floor decking has a beautiful, dark wood hue and was chosen for its strength and reliability to endure the impact of sunlight, moisture, and temperature changes. Surrounding the deck is a fence crafted from a combination of wood and wire. Taking into account the elevated height of the deck above the ground, this stylish fence offers security for people, children, and pets. Its open design adds to the spacious feeling of the area.
To provide a shaded section against the heat of the sun or a light drizzle, our renovators erected an elegant hardtop gazebo that is anchored to the deck floor. It also offers privacy curtains that can be closed to create a cozy private area, or ward off rain, slanting sun rays, or a breeze. The curtains can be changed to suit the season. In summer, the homeowners hang lighter curtains, and in winter they opt for a heavier fabric that keeps out the cold, making this space usable all year round.
Under the gazebo, the family has placed comfortable seating, loungers, and a few occasional chairs. The must-have barbecue is ready in the corner together with a table to hold the tempting treats once they come off the fire. An open fire pit adds to the ambiance, offering a warm glow as night falls.
The ample size of this deck allows for a multitude of possibilities. The furniture can be re-arranged and even moved out from under the gazebo. The family can set up a table tennis table, a pool table, or a kiddies play area. The deck offers space for a workout, a yoga session, or a sunbathing spot.
